These stairs have been designed for the loading/ offl oading of passengers to and from aircraft, the door threshold height of which can be reached by any of the heights provided by the ladders shown.

The front wheel train can be directioned by means of the front shaft which, in turn, is used to tow the ladder either manually or with a vehicle.
